About Jen
My name is Jen Christie and I live in Ahoghill, County Antrim.
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor (an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and I am passionate about supporting individuals to realise their worth, value and purpose.
My training as a counsellor was over 10 years ago and at that time I worked with young people as a schools counsellor and on a voluntary basis with adults in various settings. Having taken time to help raise my three teens, I added to my counselling training and worked as a youth counsellor for a Christian charity. I now offer private counselling sessions to both adults, couples and young people, as well as provide training and sessions on well-being and mental health for organisations.
I love reading, listening to the wind in the trees, walking in the mountains and swimming in the sea and no day is complete without chocolate, tea and music!

I believe that having a safe and welcoming space (one where you will not be judged, criticised or advised!) can be the starting point to having the confidence to talk about those experiences or relationships that you have found, or are finding, difficult. I will gently help you to listen to the "still, small voice" within you - the one that knows you best and wants the best for your future.

I have had the privilege to work alongside individuals from a range of ages, backgrounds and abilities. My experience includes working with relationship issues, low mood, anxiety, depression, grief, issues of identity, life stages, miscarriage, infant loss, body image, low self-esteem, self-harm, bullying, family breakdown - amongst others.

I welcome individuals of all faiths or none to counselling.
As a Christian, I also offer offer pastoral support to those individuals who would like to consider their story from the Christian faith perspective.
